Persimmon is a house building company, which has been trading since 1972.

Persimmon has made further strong progress in the six months to 30 June 2011. In line with our strategic objectives we have delivered further margin improvement and excellent cash generation.

There are nine members of our Board of Directors, the Chairman, three executive Directors and five non-executive Directors. The Directors bring a wide breadth of experience to directing the strategy of the Group.

Persimmon plc, one of the UK's leading housebuilders, was established by Life President, Duncan Davidson, in 1972.

Our business operates under three main brands Persimmon Homes, Charles Church and Westbury Partnerships.

Our strategy is to be a leading national housebuilder, building homes ranging from small affordable starter homes to large premium family homes and selling to both the private market and housing associations.
